There are lots of ways to approach the edge. Quickly, with a sharp drop. Gradually, building up to it, layer after layer. Calmly, in the traditional way. Or surprisingly, with a fun twist all your own!
I’m talking about quilt edges of course!
I’ll be teaching my popular Beautiful Borders workshop at A Great Notion, Abbotsford tomorrow and again at the Surrey location on Saturday. There is still a spot or two open, and it’s not too late to register!
In this class I’ll show you the easiest way to make mitered corners I’ve ever found — and I’ve been making miters for close to 20 years. I wish I had discovered this technique back then! And then I’ll show you how easy it is to design and add a shaped border to take your quilt to the next level. Shaped borders can be so much fun on a baby quilt, or add an air of dignity to a formal quilt. Don’t stop at the edge!
Whoa! That edge is the fanciest edge I’ve ever seen. LOVELY! And shapely!
LOL! Thanks Carol!
